Application Deadline: 6 March 2025.
The West Africa Civil Society plays a strategic role as a key investor in capacity development for civil society entities, including Community-Based Organisations (CBOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), associations, faith-based organisations, and others. As part of its capacity strengthening initiative, the institute is implementing a capacity strengthening model for three years between 2025 to 2027 to strengthen actors and civil society organisations (CSOs) within the biodiversity conservation sector in West Africa especially in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea, and Senegal while broadening their knowledge and documentation capacity on these critical issues.
The programme will offer tailored capacity-strengthening interventions designed to improve the governance, leadership and operational skills of organisations. It will also include a mentorship programme for senior leaders and a research fellowship to support ongoing learning and knowledge documentation. Additionally, the initiative will establish a community of practice (CoP) to foster collaboration, shared learning and sustainability among the participating organisations.
