Applications are now open for the 2024 WYA Africa Regional Certified Training Program. The World Youth Alliance (WYA) is a global non-profit and youth coalition composed of members from different walks of life who are committed to promoting and defending the dignity of the human person. The Certified Training Program (CTP) is a comprehensive program on its own and is open to all young people between the ages of 18 to 30 years. It is a prerequisite for participation in many of the programs of WYA.
Eligibility
- Participants must be below the age of 30 years to ensure the program focuses on engaging and empowering young individuals.
- Applicants should demonstrate a sincere interest in understanding and promoting human dignity concepts. This includes a willingness to learn, engage in discussions, and actively contribute to activities related to human dignity.
- participants must also have access to the Internet. This is essential for engaging in online discussions, accessing program materials, participating in virtual meetings
- Participants should be dedicated to their own personal growth and development, striving to enhance their understanding of human dignity principles and applying them in their daily lives.
- Must be fluent in English.
Benefits
Those who complete the CTP are equipped to articulate and defend the principles of the dignity of the person within the public square.
Completing the CTP and obtaining certification will:
- Once certified, you will be eligible to participate in the upcoming annual International Solidarity Forum going to be held in New York.
- Equip you to communicate articulately and persuasively on behalf of the dignity of the human person
- Provide you with a vocabulary to engage the international community and larger culture on issues relating to the dignity of the person, human rights, and integral development
- Make you eligible to speak on behalf of WYA and participate fully in WYA activities. Some of these opportunities include:
- Apply for a regional or international internship,
- Start a WYA chapter or club,
- Start and lead a CTP group in your local area,
- Represent WYA in local and international events.
- Fellowship opportunities i.e becoming an advocacy fellow in your region
