The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is the main implementing agency for France’s official development assistance to developing countries and overseas territories. Based on a special partnership with the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po (PSIA), every year multiple scholarships ranging from partial to full tuition grants will be offered for incoming students in the Development programs at PSIA, coming preferably from AFD priority countries.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be admitted in the following Master programs at PSIA for the September 2013 incoming class:
Master in Development Practice (one-year program) and Master in International
Development (two-year program).
- Priority will be given to students coming from countries relevant to AFD’s mission. These countries include: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ghana, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger,Rwanda, Senegal, and Togo.
AFD-PSIA Scholarships –The AFD-PSIA Scholarship will be awarded to the best candidates on the basis of their academic record and project at Sciences Po, in 2013-2014.
The AFD-PSIA Scholarship is offered for the entire length of study at PSIA on condition of completing the scholarship requirements.
•Master in Development Practice: the scholarship is offered for one year
•Master in International Development: the scholarship is offered for both years of study Scholarships will be disbursed on a semester basis, in September and January of each year.
Requirements
The AFD scholarship is valid for the entire length of study at PSIA on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class). Students who do not meet this requirement will have their scholarship withdrawn:
