Application Deadline: Ongoing
The next Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting will be dedicated to Physics and start on 30 June 2024. Nobel Laureates from this field will be gathering with invited Young Scientists from the whole globe. The evaluation process of the scientist who were nominated or applied for the meeting is currently underway and the deadline for applications has passed. In spring 2024, the results of the evaluation process will be announced.
Requirements
- The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are outstanding and internationally renowned conferences, attended annually by about 30-40 Nobel Laureates and 600 of the most promising Young Scientists from all over the world.
- Alternating between the disciplines Physics, Chemistry, and Physiology or Medicine, the Lindau Meetings are a unique opportunity to educate, inspire, and connect beyond cultural and political boundaries for the leading scientists of tomorrow.
- Apart from taking the one-time chance to participate in a Lindau Meeting, these Young Scientists become part of a special community — a network of excellence.
- As Lindau Alumni, former participants stay connected with each other and become ambassadors of the scientific dialogue fostered by the Lindau Meetings.
Timeline
August:
Young Scientists who are interested in applying for participation in the upcoming Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting carefully review the information about the current Academic Partners on our website and contact the relevant Academic Partners to learn about specific application requirements.
September/October:
Young Scientists apply to be nominated by their respective Academic Partners who evaluate the applications and nominate their candidates for participation in the upcoming Lindau Meeting.
Young Scientists who are eligible to apply via Open Application submit their applications through the Open Application tool on our website, which is available online during the application period in September and October.
November:
Young Scientists who have been nominated or who have submitted and successfully passed the pre-evaluation of the Open Application process, must complete an extended online application profile within about five weeks. The data provided here is used for the main evaluation of the applications.
December – February:
The submitted applications are evaluated by a scientific committee appointed by the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.
February/March:
The Academic Partners and all applicants are informed about the results as soon as the evaluation process is completed. Applicants who have passed the main evaluation process are contacted individually and invited to attend the upcoming Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.
