Your FOOD, Your HEALTH, Your FUTURE campaign is implemented by the United Nations System Standing Committee on Nutrition (UNSCN) in collaboration and with the financial support of the Public Health and Environmental Department (PHE) of the World Health Organization.
Your FOOD, Your HEALTH, Your FUTURE is aimed at young people aged 18 to 25 years affected by changes in their environment and wishing to voice their opinion on the links between climate change, nutrition and health.
Emissions related to food and the impacts of climate change on health, agriculture and the food system profoundly alter the way we grow and produce food.
“Your FOOD, Your HEALTH, Your FUTURE” seeks to help draw youth attention to the challenge of climate change, and the need for both global and local action to address this issue, to protect our own future, as well as that of generations to come. Specifically, it will:
Popularize the link between climate change, nutrition and health among the young public in the world through dedicated Facebook pages and a photograph contest;
Increase the availability of photographs which showcase the intricate relationship between climate change, nutrition and health;
Ensure greater involvement of young people in generating awareness for climate change, nutrition and health;
Use the photos generated by the younger generation to show their engagement and voice their concern on what the future priorities should be considering health, nutrition and climate change during the Nutrition and Sustainability Seminar, to be held at FAO headquarters, Rome on November 12th. These pictures will be turned into a short video which will be presented by two young representatives from Malawi having proven effective commitment towards building sustainable food systems in their country.
Produce a video showcasing experts reacting to the concerns raised in the pictures generated by young people.
