Every student who is currently enrolled at a university or who has graduated in 2013 may apply to become a Delegate.

As a Delegate you join the World Business Dialogue in March 2014 in Cologne, Germany. Take the chance to share your ideas and visions with today’s business leaders. Discuss the convention topic in Panels, Workshops and different interactive formats. Meet students from all over the world, experience the clash of cultures and worldviews and make the Dialogue a unique and unforgettable experience!

All you need is motivation, ambition and an open mind. The more experiences you have made already, the better you can actively participate in discussions. Profit from your knowledge in the field of disruptive innovations, big data and artificial intelligence, deepen your understanding and widen your horizon during the World Business Dialogue 2014.

A successful application requires you to:

Fill out a questionnaire about yourself and how much you know about this year´s convention topic
Upload your CV and a document certifying your enrollment (i.e. student ID, grade sheet, etc.)
Upload a document verifying any work experience or voluntary work (i.e. letter of recommendation, acceptance letter, etc.)

Application Timeline

The first application round will start on October 17th and run until November 14th.
The second application round will start November 15th and run until December 15th.

To include all time zones, application will close December 15th, 2013 – 23:59 Central European Time (CET).

The World Business Dialogue is the largest international student-run business convention worldwide which takes place in Cologne, Germany every year. It creates a multicultural Dialogue across generations and hosts exciting discussions between high-potential international students, experienced executives and the world’s top-class speakers.

Notable speakers of the past were among others: Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg (Mayor of New York City) or Dr. Josef Ackermann (former CEO of Deutsche Bank). Additionally to the conference there will be a project phase of two months around the convention where selected participants work on real business cases provided by our partnering companies and thus will experience intense business exposure.

Next year’s Dialogue will deal with the implications of disruptive innovations for existing and new business models. Specifically we will be looking at the possibilities that derive from the combination of technologies and trends such as Big Data, machine-to-machine communication and artificial intelligence.

Requirements:

You are enrolled in a college or university at the time of your application

You have already collected practical experiences through internships or comparable commitments
You have high motivational and communicational skills
You know how to motivate and inspire other people for a unique event
You are persistent and you never lose sight of your goals

Attach a copy of the document certifying your enrolment and the documents, which prove your past internshipsor other work experiences mentioned in the CV
