The Fund for Cooperation and Knowledge is intended to provide scholarships to students from Developing Countries, who wish to study one year at the University of Pavia, and to UNIPV students who would like to spend some months in a Developing Country for studying, researching and/or training. The Fund and the selection of the students are managed by a Committee composed by students, professors and officers of the University of Pavia.
The Committee will select – among the applicants – the students who will receive a scholarship for the Academic Year 2017-2018. There is a call for applications currently opened to candidates from Developing Countries.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Only the following candidates can apply for a scholarship: only citizens of a Developing Country classified as a low-income economy or as a lower-middle-income economy by the World Bank
- Only students born on/after the 1st January 1982 can participate.

Applicants may select only a master course degree taught in English, selected among those listed below:
• Electronic Engineering
• Industrial Automation Engineering
• Economics, Finance and International Integration
• International Business and Entrepreneurship
• Molecular Biology and Genetics
• World Politics and International Relations
APPLICATION
Interested candidates must submit an application (available on the website of UNIVP
http://www.unipv.eu/site/en/home/fees-and-funding/fund-for-cooperation-and-knowledge.html) which has to include:
1. a complete application form (completed in all its parts): it must be filled in English using the
computer; then it has to be printed, signed, completed with a passport-size picture, and
scanned; candidates must indicate a Skype contact;
2. a motivation letter written in English;
3. a transcript of records in English or translated into Italian by an accredited Italian authority;
4. a recent letter of reference (written in English after the 1st May 2017) hand signed by a
university professor and dated;
5. a curriculum vitae in English (European format: available on this Web page);
6. a recent health certificate (issued after the 1st May 2017 in English or translated into Italian
by an accredited Italian authority) attesting that the applicant is in good health conditions
and is not suffering from physical or mental illnesses;
7. a photocopy of a valid passport (or of a valid identification document, ID) of the applicant.
DEADLINE
Applications must arrive only by e-mail (just one PDF file: maximum size 5MB ; the
name of the PDF file must report exactly the surname, then a dot, then the name of
the applicant, e.g: surname.name.pdf ) by 12.00 o’clock p.m. (Italian time) of the 12

Timeline:
- May 2017: opening of the call for applications;
- May/June 2017: collection of the applications;
- June 2017: selection of the winning student;
- June 2017: defining the program of the selected student;
- September 2017: the Program starts;
- A.Y. 2017-2018: carrying out of the Program;
