Applications are now open for the 2025 Earth Prize Environmental Sustainability Competition for students. The Earth Prize, the world’s largest environmental competition for young people, has seen participation from teams in over 150 countries during its first three annual editions. It aims to inspire and empower the next generation of environmental leaders and innovators, creating a global platform for sharing and scaling their solutions.
Starting with the 2025 edition, there will be seven regional winners, each receiving $12,500 to implement their ideas. The regions are Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, North America, and Central & South America. Additionally, The Earth Prize will recognize three mentors and three educators of the year, awarding each $2,500.
Eligibility Requirements
- Participants must have been born between 2005 and 2011 and be registered in a school or educational program.
Application Timeline:
- 1st Sep. 2024 – 30th Nov. 2024: Registration Phase
- 31st Jan. 2025: Submissions Phase
- 14th February 2025: The Earth Prize Scholars Announcement
- 14th Feb. 2025- 28th Feb. 2025: Scholars Phase
- 28th Feb. 2025 -28th Mar. 2025: Regional Winners Phase
- 1st Apr. 2025 – 7th Apr. 2025: The Earth Prize Regional Winners Announcement
- 7th Apr. 2025- 22nd Apr. 2025: Public Voting Phase
- 22nd Apr. 2025: The Earth Prize Awards Ceremony
HOW TO APPLY
- Registration is open from September 1st until November 30th.
- Fill out the online registration form to get access to My Earth Prize Platform, where you will have access to our exclusive content and mentoring
- Make sure that your Supervisor or Team Lead (who could be you, if you are a student) registers and creates your team on the Submissions Portal.
- Complete the necessary team information and get thinking!
