Application Deadline: Varying by Institutions
On 1 July 2017 the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) entered a new phase as a new programme under the name Kennisontwikkelings programma (KOP). KOP aims to advance the development of the capacity, knowledge and quality of both individuals and institutions in higher and vocational education.
The scholarship is meant for short courses for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree! The overall aim of the NFP is to help increase both the number and the competencies of skilled staff at a wide range of governmental and non-governmental organisations. Candidates have to be nominated by their employer to be eligible for the fellowship. There also has to be a clear need for training within the context of their organisation. After completing the training the fellow returns to their original workplace. This ensures the training is embedded within the organization.
Start-up phase KOP – Short Courses
After formal publication of the subsidy and policy outline in the Dutch Staatscourant, the start of KOP will be confirmed. Please note that until that time adjustments could still be made to comply with the policy outline.
In the first KOP round there will be scholarships for Short Courses. After formal publication of the subsidy and policy outline in the Dutch Staatscourant, the start of KOP will be confirmed. Please note that until that time adjustments could still be made to comply with the policy outline.
- A KOP NFP fellowship is intended to supplement the salary that you should continue to receive during the study period in the Netherlands. The allowance is a contribution towards your costs of living, the costs of tuition fees, visas, travel, insurance and thesis research. If applicable, the fellowship holder is expected to cover the difference between the actual costs and the amount of the personal KOP NFP allowances.
