The She Leads Africa business pitch competition provides a platform for the most promising female entrepreneurs in Africa to connect to prominent mentors, business funding and new market opportunities.

 

She Leads Africa is looking for businesses:

– With at least one female member on the founding team between the ages of 18 and 35
– Have received less than $50,000 in funding?
– Less than than 3 years old
– Focused on the African market or diaspora
– Have already begun operations. Entrepreneurs at the idea stage are not eligible to apply

  • The top applicants will be invited to Lagos to pitch their business ideas in front of a panel of notable business personalities for the chance to win more than $55,000 in cash and in kind prizes including legal services, tablets and computers, data subscriptions as well as exclusive meetings with angel investors, prominent venture capitalists and other leading professional mentors and sponsors.

Got a cool idea? Interested in technology? Want to upgrade your business skills?

She Leads Africa has partnered with Intel Corp to host educational workshops for tech entrepreneurs in cities across the continent. The workshop series will start in Nairobi before moving to Johannesburg, Lagos and many more. The workshop is targeted towards female developers who are looking to build their businesses and eventually IPO for millions of dollars as well as all the #BossWomen who are running tech enabled businesses.

She Leads Africa has partnered with Intel to host three, free workshops in Nairobi, Johannesburg and Lagos for young female tech entrepreneurs, to help them upgrade their IT knowledge and build a strong and successful business.

Each workshop will consist of two sessions:

  • Intel will lead the first session and will show attendees how technology can be used to solve community problems. There will also be working session on building your MVP (minimum viable product) and getting your product ready for the public.
  • She Leads Africa will take over the second session and will teach attendees how to get their product/service into the hands of consumers.  Attendees will go through real case studies to make sure that the session is practical and not just theoretical.

You’ll also learn about the Lean Start Up model and how to use Intel architecture in your business.
