At the end of the three-year program, all RICA students earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Agriculture. You can also choose a specialty in Animal Production, Crop Production, Mechanization, or Food Processing. Located in Karama, Rweru Sector, Bugesera District, RICA is a unique English-language institution, unlike any other in Africa. Our worldclass curriculum combines education, research, and community extension to train you Rwanda’s next generation of leaders in agriculture.
RICA will also prepare you with the skills to be successful in business: leadership, entrepreneurship and communication. We’ll
also train you in the principles of Conservation Agriculture and One Health, which are critical to sustaining Rwanda’s agriculture sector.

RICA are looking for passionate young men and women who are ready to invest in their careers, communities, and the agricultural transformation of Rwanda.
Here are the criteria to be eligible for admission:
• Rwandan citizen
• Only applicants who sat for their national examination in the year 2019 are eligible to apply.
• Demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurship potential
• Demonstrated passion for agriculture
• Demonstrated English proficiency on RICA’s language examinations
• Minimum National Exam score of 40 (REB) or 36 (WDA)
• Minimum 2 Principal Passes on National Examinations
Applicants who completed Secondary education in 2019 and 2020 under foreign or international education programs ( E.g Cambridge, International Baccalaureate etc ) are encouraged to apply. Holders of such qualifications are advised to submit
an equivalence certificate issued by the Rwanda Education Board (REB).
All students admitted to RICA are given a full threeyear scholarship, including tuition, medical insurance, accommodation and meals on campus.
