PepsiCo Change The Game Challenge 2018 for young people from MENA Region (win a trip to New York & $100,000 grant)

Solve this year’s business challenge for a chance to win a trip to New York, a job offer with our pioneering PepsiCo teams and a $ 100,000 grant to bring your idea to life for PepsiCo.

Change The Game (CTG) is a 5 stage challenge open to individuals with undergraduate and/or post graduate backgrounds, and working professionals with up to 2 years’ experience, who are keen to make their mark globally.

The main objective of the challenge is to address real issues & spot the brightest spark of talent, and make their ideas come to life.

Do you have what it takes to team you up with PepsiCo on solving this year’s sustainability challenge?

You need to focus your idea around one of the two following scenarios:

1- Coming up with an idea using a new low cost technology that would allow the collection, recycling & the profitable commercialization of plastic waste in emerging markets without the use of child labor or create a hazard to humans.

2- Creating a business model to develop products in our food and beverage categories that are scalable, financially viable and minimize or eliminate plastic packaging.

Benefits:

  • Finalists will have an opportunity to present their proposals to PepsiCo Region and Sector leadership team.
  • The top 2 winning teams will receive a grant of $100,000 to bring their ideas to life for PepsiCo, and will be offered a job (or internship) at PepsiCo in their country/region

All shortlisted candidates will benefit from a detailed assessment for their leadership profile highlighting their strengths and opportunities, will attend and/or have access to the content of the capability building sessions, and will get free access for online courses to help them with their continued development

Pepsico Change The Game Challenge 2017 for young professionals (Fully Funded to Dubai & New York)

Change The Game is a 4 stage challenge open to individuals with undergraduate and post graduate backgrounds, as well as working professionals with up to 3 years’ experience, who are keen to make their mark globally.
Do you have what it takes to team up with PepsiCo and help us advance our nutrition product portfolio by 2020?
You need to focus your idea around the following scenario:
“You have been given 100,000 US dollars to start your own health and nutrition business in the food and beverages space. Which health and nutrition business will you start and why?” . Pepsico would provide the tools necessary to grow your idea and bring it to life.


The challenge is open to nationals of the following countries:

Eligibility Criteria
The Programme is open to the following participants (“Participants”)
(i) Nationals of (A) India (“India Region Participants”);
(B) Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, UAE and KSA ( “Middle East North Africa (MENA) Region Participants”)and;
(C) Pakistan and Philippines (“Asia Pacific (APAC) Region Participants”) who are
i. Between the ages of 18 (eighteen) and 30 (thirty) years as on 1st September, 2017 and
ii. Students pursuing graduation and post-graduation from any university (could be any year); or
iii. Participants who have just obtained their graduate or post graduate degree(s) from any
university; or
iv. Having up to 3 (three) years of work experience from the date of obtaining the last bachelor or master degree.

 

Award:

  • Present your business idea to our global CEO & enjoy an international experience with PepsiCo!
  • The top regional winning teams from Asia Pacific, India and the Middle east & North Africa will receive a regional job offer or internship.
  • They will be eligible to go on an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai where they will compete for the finals where they could win an all-expenses paid trip to New York to present their business idea to out Chairman & CEO Indra Nooyi.
  • This will be followed by a yearlong international experience OR a 2 month international internship across one of our locations in Asia Pacific, India and the Middle East & North Africa.
  • Regional first runners up will receive either a local job offer or 1 week shadow experience with our local business leaders.
  • Regional second runners up will receive a local shadow experience for 1 day with a PepsiCo Leader.
Registration
(i) The Participants need to form a team of two members who are of the same nationality and/or residency in case of the Republic of Korea and Thailand and are in the same academic year, if studying (“Team”). The Teams must then visit the Website and complete the registration form.
(ii) The Team members must ensure all the details provided in the registration form are correct. Any details found incorrect would entail a disqualification from the Programme for the Team.
(iii) Registration forms need to be completed and submitted by October 6th, 2017
as per the respective time zones from where the Participants are registering. Anything submitted after this date will not be accepted by the Organizers.

PepsiCo Change The Game Challenge 2016 for Young People from MENA Region

PepsiCo, the global food and beverage company, has launched a new ‘Change The Game Challenge’, aimed at boosting the career prospects of millennials and giving them the opportunity to land a job at the company.

The competition, covering the India and Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, is open to Egyptian, Saudi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Emirati and Indian students and graduates aged between 17 and 30 with up to three years’ work experience.
The competition challenges young people to solve a business case for the introduction of a product or service, in line with nutrition expectations, that PepsiCo can implement by 2020.

The Programme is open to the citizens of India and Nationals of Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, United Arab Emirates (UAE) & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) (“Participating Countries”) except the employees and contractors working with the Organizers, its Affiliate companies, including any company in which the Organizers have equity interests, its joint ventures and joint venture partners, its contract- manufacturers, bottlers, its advertising and promotion agencies and its auditors.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Programme is open to the following participants (“Participants”)-
  • (i) Citizens of India who are- i. Between the ages of 18 (eighteen) and 30 (thirty) years ii. Students pursuing graduation and post-graduation from any university in India (could be any year); or
  • iii. Participants who have just obtained their graduate or post graduate degree(s) from any university in India; or iv. Having up to 3 (three) years of work experience from the date of obtaining the last degree.
  • (hereinafter collectively referred to as “India Region Participants”)
  • (ii) Nationals of Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, UAE & KSA (Middle East North Africa (MENA) Region) who are-
  • i. Between the ages of 18 (eighteen) and 25 (twenty five) years
  • ii. Students pursuing graduation from any university (could be any year) within or outside MENA Region; or
  • iii. Participants who have just obtained their graduate or post graduate degree(s)- from any university within or outside the MENA Region; or
  • iv. Having up to 3 (three) years of experience from the date of obtaining the last degree. (hereinafter collectively referred to as “MENA Region Participants”)

Prizes to be Won-

The 3 (three) best teams from each of the India and MENA Regions will receive the following prizes according to their rankings:

Best Teams Ranking

  • For Final year students (having less than 1 year to complete the degree–graduation or post-graduation)/ working professionals
  • For Students with more than 1 year to complete graduation or post-graduation

1st Best Team (“Winners”)
1. Job offer in Home Country* with 1 year international experience within the countries in Asia, Middle East and North Africa (not being a Home Country) where the Organizers have a place of business (“International Location”) at the discretion of the Organizers.
*Home Country is defined as-
a. The country which the MENA Region Participants are Nationals of within the MENA Region; and
b. India for India Region Participants
2. Travel to PepsiCo headquarters in New York City to meet with and present Business Case (as defined in Clause 14 below) to the Chairman & CEO Indra Nooyi and her leadership team.

2nd Best Team (1st Runners Up)

  • Job offer in Home Country
  • Internship in Home Country for a period not exceeding 2 months.

3rd Best Team (2nd Runners Up)

  • Shadow business leader in the Home Country for a day.
  • Shadow business leader in the Home Country for a day.

5 STEPS TO A JOB OFFER WITH INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AT PEPSICO

STEP 1: FIND A TEAM MATE

Make sure you and your team mate :
• Are between the ages of 18 & 25 years for MENA Participants and between the ages of 18 & 30 years for India participants
• Reside in the same country
• Have the same nationality
• Are in the same academic year or have the same years of work experience

STEP 2: TAKE A UNIQUE SELFIE (UNIFIE) WITH YOUR TEAM MATE

STEP 3: TEAM REGISTRATION & UNIFIE POSTING

  • Register together on www.pepsiccochangethegame.com & create your team profile
  • Upload UNIFIE on www.pepsicochangethegame.com and “PepsiCo Change The Game Challenge” Facebook page. (Like the Facebook page before uploading!)
  • Give your UNIFIE a creative name which includes your #country and #team name
  • Wait till we publish it
  • Get maximum likes/reactions and shares and tag your friends (“Reach”)
  • You will be judged on the Reach and creativity of your UNIFIE.

STEP 4: BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Phase 1 Elevator pitch:
• Teams will create an elevator pitch for 90 sec and upload on YouTube.
• Elevator pitch needs to answer the following questions:
– What is your big idea
– Why is it the best Nutrition bet for PepsiCo – Give it a Business Rationale
– Why is it relevant in today’s Digital Era
• Post the YouTube link on www.pepsicochangethegame.com and PepsiCo Change The Game Challenge on Facebook
• Teams with the best ideas and maximum Reach on Facebook will be shortlisted.
• Remember, the idea will always have more weightage over Reach on Facebook
