LAUNCH Nordic is working to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world. To meet this goal, we seek innovations from around the globe with the potential to create the shift towards closed loop systems and a circular economy.
LAUNCH Nordic is a partnership hosted by IKEA Group, Novozymes, Kvadrat, The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (3GF), The Danish EPA, and Region Skåne. In collaboration with pioneering Nordic and global companies and organizations, we help scale disruptive, sustainable innovations within materials and manufacturing.
This year,LAUNCH Nordic are focusing on new types of closed loop solutions and recycling technologies. We are interested in early stage, scalable technologies and innovative business models with the potential to disrupt current material and resource flows. You can send in ideas that will impact what and how we recycle, or disruptive business models that spur new recycling and reuse incentives. Or you can surprise us with something completely different.
The LAUNCH Nordic Innovation Challenge 2016 is a global call for innovators and entrepreneurs, companies, and organizations. The LAUNCH Nordic Innovation Challenge 2016 invite and urge innovators globally to apply, and to help us find the answers to this year’s challenge.
In 2016, LAUNCH Nordic specifically seeks innovations that provide solutions to the following challenge:
- How can we – through new types of closed loop solutions or recycling technologies – shape a more sustainable future of materials and manufacturing?
This includes: innovations that will impact what and how we recycle, pioneering business models that spur new recycling and reuse incentives, and projects that enable new ways of setting up or operating closed loop solutions. Or you can surprise us with something completely different.
SEEKING INNOVATIONS THAT WILL… …CHANGE HOW WE REUSE, RECOVER, RECYCLE, AND REDUCE THE MATERIALS IN OUR
EVERYDAY PRODUCTS:
• New types of materials, composites, and components that will make our products
better suited for multiple lifecycles, disassembly, repair, and recycling.
• New platforms and IT-services for take-back or reverse logistics that will enable us
access to the products and materials we want to reuse and recycle, and help create
reliable streams of recycled materials.
• New technologies that will help sort, clean, and detoxify the products and materials we
