UNESCO-IHE Netherland Fellowship Program 2017 for Water Professional to Study in the Netherlands.

Are you a water professional, a national of, and working and living in one of the 51 countries on the NFP country list? Consider applying to a Master of Science study programme at UNESCO-IHE and have us nominate you for the fellowship.

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) promotes capacity building within organisations in 51 countries by providing training and education through fellowships for professionals. An NFP Fellowship covers all costs associated with completing an 18-month Master of Science study programme at UNESCO-IHE.

UNESCO-IHE offers four accredited Master of Science programmes, with a total of 17 specializations.

  • Water Management – The scientific study of water resources with practical planning and management skills
  • Urban Water and Sanitation – Water supply, sanitation and water engineering and management, particularly in urban areas
  • Environmental Science – Conservation and prudent use of natural resources for the benefit of society
  • Water Science & Engineering – Hydrological and hydraulic processes and modelling tools for improved water management in coastal zones, river basins and agricultural areas.

Submit your application and required documents to UNESCO-IHE before 31 January 2017.

2015 Netherlands Fellowship Programme MBA Scholarship Programme

This MBA Scholarship Programme is applicable to the International MBA Programme of Business School Netherlands, offered by Nuffic as the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP). 

NFP is a full (100%) MBA Scholarship programme designed to foster institutional development within certain parts of the world. Applicants to certain academic and short courses of Dutch higher education institutions apply for the fellowship to cover the cost of tuition fees, accommodation and international travel for study.

Who can apply?

  • Mid-career professionals in employment
  • Only the individual applicant can apply for funding
  • The training must occur within the context of the organisation with which the applicant works
  • The training must be seen to help the organisation in its development strategies
  • Employer support is essential

Eligible Countries

To be eligible for an NFP fellowship, you must be a national of and working and living in one of the 51 countries listed on this page.

The countries have been classified into two categories. Category I countries are priority countries and will receive more fellowships.

Target group
While fellowships are awarded to individuals, the need for training must occur within the context of the organization for which an applicant works. The training must help the organization to develop its capacity. This means that applicants must be nominated by their employers. In fact, an application without the support of an employer will not be considered.

Priorities
Half of the available funding from the NFP budget should be spent on fellowships for female candidates and for candidates from sub-Saharan Africa. Apart from this priority is given to candidates from deprived groups and/or from marginalized regions.

How to apply?

To be eligible for an NFP fellowship, candidates need to be admitted to the International Action Learning MBA programme.

How to apply for a NFP Scholarship:

  1. Ensure you meet the admission criteria for the International MBA Programme
  2. Ensure you meet the entrance criteria for the NFP Scholarship
  3. Submit your application to the Admissions Team before 31 March 2015.

Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) – 2015 Deadlines

For non-English speakers a TOEFL or IELTS language test is required. The minimum pass mark for TOEFL is 550 (paper); 213 (computer) or 80 (internet) and IELTS 6.0. Exemptions can be considered should your mother tongue be English and you have successfully completed your degree in English.
