The Murtala Muhammed Foundation in collaboration with the Namibian High Commission is organizing Enterprise across Africa – Women in Development business trip to Namibia from 14th – 18th October, 2013.
The Enterprise Across Africa – Women in Development program serves as a platform to break down the barriers that women face in the bid to excel in their quest for excellence in business. It is our goal that we shall improve the lives of all Africans through this partnership as women need to drive the engine of partnership in order to achieve the maximum impact of growth needed in Africa.
The purpose of the visit is to:
- Increase the networking opportunities between the Business Professional women of Nigeria and Namibia; Lead agencies, Nigerian Business and Professional Women, the Ministry of Gender, the Murtala Muhammed Foundation, Nigeria-Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other Stakeholders. The Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Namibia National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Namibia High Commission in Nigeria and other Stakeholders.
- Explore more partnerships in Africa.
- To break the barriers for women in business.
- To create business partnerships between women of both countries.
The sectors of focus include: Health, Hospitality, Tourism and Hotel Management, Education, Banking & Finance, Agro industries, Fishing and marine, Mining, Fashion and tailoring.
