Next Generation Women Leaders EMEA will begin the evening of Thursday, April 20 with welcome words, an opportunity to ask questions, and ample time to get to know one another in an informal setting. Across the next two days, April 21-22, attendees will participate in interactive workshops, hear from inspirational speakers and work with facilitators to further shape their leadership style, helping them become trailblazers in their personal and professional lives.

During the program, attendees will have an opportunity to not only learn more about McKinsey and leadership skills, but also focus on personal development aspects like confidence and effective communication. There will also be ample opportunities to join fun activities throughout the event. After the main event, the program will continue with weekly learning workshops and informative virtual sessions throughout May and June.

Eligibility

To be considered for NGWL EMEA, you must be currently based in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa (or have strong ties with Europe, the Middle East, or Africa). You must also be:

a bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, or MBA student graduating no later than 2024
or
a professional with up to eight years of work experience

Benefits

Inspiring three-day virtual event

The program starts with a virtual event on April 20-22, 2023, where attendees will explore the importance of women in leadership, develop a sense of connection, and create a long-lasting community.

Interview preparation program

All NGWL EMEA attendees who would like to learn more about McKinsey’s recruiting process will be invited to an interview-preparation program. Participants will learn about our case and personal-experience interviews, join Q&A sessions, and practice cases in small groups.

Local networking events

Attendees will be invited to small, local meetups to meet McKinsey consultants and recruiters, and network with other NGWL attendees.

Learning sessions

You will have a chance to participate in training sessions with McKinsey consultants, addressing important topics around communication and impact.

Digital Assessment

As part of your application, you will be asked to complete an online assessment (~60 minutes). This does not require any preparation or prior business knowledge. More details will be shared within a few weeks after submitting your application.

The Next Generation Women Leaders EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Program kicks off with a three-day virtual event on May 5 – 7 where attendees will explore the importance of women in leadership, develop a sense of connection, and create a long-lasting community. During the program attendees will have an opportunity not only to learn more about McKinsey and leadership skills but also focus on personal development, in particular confidence and effective communication skills.

McKinsey & Company Next Generation Women Leaders Program 2020/2021 for young Professionals (Fully Funded to Paris, France)

McKinsey invites female students (graduating no later than in 2021) and professionals with fewer than 8 years of experience based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to join us for our Next Generation Women Leaders event.

The Next Generation Women Leaders event is an exclusive three-day workshop that explores the importance of women in leadership.

Event attendees will work with facilitators to further shape their leadership style, helping them become trailblazers in their personal and professional lives. They will walk away with an understanding of the McKinsey problem solving approach, which can be used to address challenges they may encounter in life.

Lastly, as attendees explore the world of consulting, they will create genuine connections with peers as well as McKinsey colleagues and alumni.

Benefits

Participants’ travel costs from within EMEA will be covered by McKinsey. Accommodations will be provided at the event venue – a chateau outside of Paris. Participants are expected to be available for the full program: May 8-10, 2020.

McKinsey & Company Next Generation Women Leaders Program 2020 for young Professionals (Scholarship of 2,000 Euros )

The Next Generation Women Leaders award is a scholarship designed to recognize talent and support students who would like to maximize their own potential.

The NGWL award is intended for students outside of North America and Africa. It is one of many worldwide programs aimed at helping individuals get to know McKinsey better.

To apply please submit:

Your CV in English including details of your education (including grades), any work experience as well as any extracurricular activities and achievements
A cover letter in English (1-page max) including a paragraph about your most notable accomplishment and a paragraph describing how you would benefit from receiving the award
Academic transcripts (do not need to be in English) depending on your office preferences (please see details below)

Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden require academic transcripts from high school onwards
