The International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN Migration Agency in Nigeria is currently implementing the European Union (EU) and IOM Initiative on Migration Governance and Reintegration in Nigeria with funding from the EU. The project seeks to amongst other things support the Government of Nigeria to improve the governance of migration through the development of migration strategies and implementation of migration policies; improve the reintegration of returning migrants; strengthen national structures and capabilities in terms of managing reintegration in a dignified and sustainable manner.
IOM has launched a call for Concept Notes for registered Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria working on labour migration issues for the award of grants for implementation of the National Policy on Labour Migration Action Plan within the framework of the project. Eligible institutions (*) are hereby invited to submit Concept Notes on the below priority areas:
- Assessment of the protection of the rights of migrant workers in Nigeria and Nigerian Migrant workers in Saudi Arabia.
- Extension of labour inspection activity and labour law enforcement to sectors and workplaces where migrant workers may be present.
Eligible Institutions are:
- Non-governmental organizations;
- Coalition of Organizations; and
- Migrants Associations
Interested institutions MUST submit Concept Notes and supporting documents via email to [email protected] with “Call for Concept Notes” as subject line by Tuesday, 29th June 2018.
