Applications are now open for the 2025 IMF Recruitment Outreach Mission to Africa. Corporate Services and Facilities (CSF) is a key IMF support department, providing over a hundred services globally at headquarters, in field offices, on missions, at home or on the go. CSF is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals interested in a career in one of the following areas:
Strategy, Resource, and Risk Management: Develop and align the department’s long-term vision and objectives. Oversee a $100M annual budget and provide budgetary guidance. Foster a culture of risk management and control departmental activities.
Client Relationships and Service Management: Develop data-driven strategies to enhance service delivery. Improve overall user experience and raise client awareness. Monitor developments inside and outside the IMF for strategic planning.
Environmental Sustainability: Develop and implement corporate environmental sustainability strategies. Address greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, and resource conservation. Research and stay updated on environmental sustainability trends.
Procurement: Manage sourcing and contract management for operationally critical goods and services. Develop sourcing strategies, conduct high-value procurements, and reduce total cost of ownership.
Third-Party Risk Management: Assess, evaluate, and mitigate procurement risks. Review risks including operational, legal, reputational, financial, and technology. Ensure appropriate controls are in place during vendor interactions.
Creative Production: Produce visual assets and oversee creative direction in support of the IMF’s mission. Manage video, graphics, photo production, and events. Provide broadcast production, event direction, and technical operations.
Audio Visual and Engineering: Support IMF’s communication capabilities through broadcast and AV engineering Manage engineering teams and run AV/Conference Systems capital improvement projects.
Creative Lab: Operate at the intersection of business, technology, and communications, using behavioral science, data insights, and human-centered design. Build digital products and services to solve global challenges.
Freelance Interpreters and Translators (English/Arabic/French): Translate IMF documents and support missions in the region.
Space Management: Manage interior architecture, design, space planning, and programming. Collect and analyze space usage data, inform strategies, and optimize space utilization.
Construction Management: Act as the owner’s representative in overseeing facilities upgrades and construction. Adhere to project management best practices, including budget and schedule management.
Security: Provide security management support globally. Work with UN and other IFI counterparts on political and security risk analysis. Deliver security training and manage physical security principles related to premises and facilities.
Requirements
CSF is seeking experienced professionals who have:
- An advanced university degree plus a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience or a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience. Demonstrable experience or expertise in one or more of the fields mentioned above.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as planning and organizational skills.
- Relevant professional experience in a similar capacity in a comparable international organization is desirable.
- A track record of working well in a collegial team environment, and strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels and of different cultural backgrounds and with other international organizations and stakeholders.
Selection Criteria
CSF will conduct an initial screening based on your application and supporting documentation. If you are successful in meeting our initial criteria, you will receive an invitation to participate in a video interview. If selected following your video interview, you will receive an invitation for a preliminary interview in one of the countries being used as a regional hub.
Benefits
- The IMF will cover the travel, hotel and per diem costs for all shortlisted candidates invited for interview in the relevant hubs.
- Successful candidates will then be invited to participate in final assessments comprising of a panel interview and/or a technical assessment.
Regional Enagagement
- CSF will conduct Regional Recruitment Outreach Missions to South Africa and Kenya from Jan 27-31, 2025 and to Cote di Ivoire and Senegal Feb 3-7, 2025 aimed at engaging with experienced Corporate Services and Facilities professionals from across the region.
