Your Responsibilities:
Job Purpose:
To provide Legal support to the different business units.
Scope:
Reporting Structure : This position will report directly into the Legal Director: South & Southern Africa
.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Legal
• Assist with the contract management process including but not limited to review, tracking of agreements as well as working with procurement to ensure that tracked agreements are uploaded in the contract management system once signed by both parties.
• Resolve routine issues such as amendments and renewals and consult with the Legal Director when complex legal questions arise that require input
• Conduct research on various topics of law as may be required form time to time, including but not limited to Advertising Standards matters, Competition Law, Employment Law, Consumer Protection and Company Law;
• Review marketing and promortional materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Perform other duties as assigned by Legal Director
•Assist both legal in Third Party oversight

Knowledge:
• Understanding of consumer protection Act, ASA Code and any other laws applicable to marketing and promotional activities;
• Understanding of contract law, commercial law, company law

Thorough understanding of the life cycle of contracts from development,
evaluation, negotiation, to approval, tracking, close-out and
day-to-day management.
