- Individuals, institutions, organizations or other entities engaged in ESD. Nominations must focus on a specific project or programme of the nominee
Who Can Submit Nominations:
- Nominations should be submitted to the Director-General of UNESCO by Governments of Member States and non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO.
- Each government or non-governmental organization can submit up to three nominations.
- The three Prize winners will be selected by the Director-General of UNESCO on the basis of recommendations made by an international independent Jury consisting of five experts.

The project/programme of the nominee will be assessed by the Jury on the basis of the following criteria:
- Transformation
- Innovation
- Integration
How to send in Nomination:
- Until 31 May 2015: Submission of Nomination Form
- June-July 2015: International Jury Meeting
- August-September 2015: Announcement of the Prize Winners
- November 2015 (tbc): Award ceremony
