The focus of Dr Bongani Nyoka’s project is on current and historical scholarly debates on knowledge decolonisation and curriculum transformation. The project investigates how African intellectuals have contributed to social and political theory. MA and PhD candidates interested in African intellectual history, African/black nationalism and African sociology are encouraged to apply.
MA scholarship (two years): R105 000.00 per annum
PhD scholarship (three years): R135 000.00 per annum
Eligibility: Preference will be given to designated groups
Requirements: Honours degree in Politics & International Studies or Sociology for MA applications. MA in Politics & International Studies or Sociology for PhD applicants.
