NRF-DAAD In-Country Scholarship Postgraduate (MA and PhD) Scholarships 2021/2022 for young South African Graduates (Fully Funded)

The National Research Foundation (NRF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) award MA and PhD scholarships to South African citizens and permanent South African residents for postgraduate studies at public South African universities!

80% of the scholarships are awarded to students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines and 20% to students in Social Science and Humanities disciplines.

Benefits of the NRF-DAAD In-Country Scholarship (upon application):
Fully funded scholarship for postgraduate studies in South Africa
Mobility grant for a short-term research visit of 3 – 6 months to Germany
Participation in one of six interdisciplinary summer schools on offer in Germany
Participation in an annual networking conference in South Africa hosted by the DAAD Information Centre Johannesburg
