International “Peace is Children’s Rights” Photography Competition.

Eligibility: The competition is open to all amateur and professional photographers from all over the world.

The World Without Wars and Violence is an international organization that promotes Peace and Non Violence as personal and social life models as well as the unique \”passports\” for the future of humanity. In this context, any activity of human expression, serving to highlight and cultivation of these values.

In view of this, photographers are invited from all around the world to take part in the international “Peace is Children’s Rights” photo contest. The idea is to highlight good examples or to report violations, of the rights of the most sensitive and promising piece of humanity. Whatever the political, social or religious beliefs are, no one remains unmoved at the sight or news for individual or massive breaches of the fundamental rights of children: health, education, housing, food, game, protection, equality, freedom.

ENTRY  RULES

  • This is a Contest for digital images only. The competition is open to all amateur and professional photographers from all over the world.
  • All images and part of images must be entirely the work of the entrant. Images submitted may be used free of charge for the catalogue and other publicity in connection with the exhibition. Also may be used for promotional use for digital or printed materials for the purposes of the International Organization “World Without Wars and Violence”.
  • SECTIONS [C]    COLOR [M]   MONOCHROME [CR]  CREATIVE[S]    STUDENTS UP TO 16.The theme of each section is “CHILDREN’S RIGHTS”.

AWARDS
FIAP: Gold; Silver; Bronze Medals; 6 Honorable Mentions all per category

HFS: 1 Honor Plaque for the best photo from all categories.

World Without Wars and Violence, Greece: 10 digital cameras Nikon COOLPIX L26 to the best 10 photos in Student’s Category.

– All 10 best choices per category will receive an Honorable Mention signed by the Greek National Commission of UNESCO and the “World Without Wars and Violence” office in Greece.

– To give acknowledgement and recognition for their work, the 10 best winners per category, will be invited to give a short description of themselves, which will be included in the catalogues.

Judging’s: September 14th, 2013
Report cards with results: September 21st, 2013
Public presentation: September 21st. Also a series of exhibitions in several cities in Greece and other countries will take place from November 2013 up to October 2014.
Catalogue and Awards sending: November 1st, 2013
