Impact Makers and Creators is a fully-funded, three-month business accelerator for ideation-and-growth-stage social and creative entrepreneurs.
The programme will support entrepreneurs to build their businesses, make their impact sustainable and reach wider communities and beneficiaries through their work.
Impact Makers and Creators is an ambitious programme that will work with 120 Ideation-and Growth-Stage social and creative entrepreneurs in Cape Town and Johannesburg and support them in building their social and creative businesses, make their impact sustainable and reach wider communities and beneficiaries through their work.

Two programme opportunities in Johannesburg and Cape Town:
An ideation: establishing a creative social enterprise – You are an entrepreneur who has a great idea/start-up for a creative business that also makes a difference. You want to build a viable business model, with social impact built in.
Growth and scale stage: growing a creative social enterprise – You are running a creative social enterprise and you want to scale, or you are running a creative business and want to focus on building in social/community impact into your business model.
Recruitment Criteria
Creative social entrepreneurs (entrepreneurs with a business idea/business in the creative industry that has both a social (impact) or environmental and market focus. The mission being just as important as the return) who live in Jhb and Cape Town and are excited to take their idea/growing enterprise to the next level
- Social and Creative entrepreneurs
- Live in JHB or CT
- Social Creative businesses that can scale
- Demonstrate leadership capability in the communities in which they operate
- Motivated to accelerate their business
- Preferably Youth (18-35)
- Preferably Female
- Previously disadvantaged or beneficiaries of the social enterprise are previously disadvantaged
- Strong sense that the business entity has impact or potential to have impact
- South African Citizen – To be discussed
