What: Summer School: “Court Residences as Places of Exchange in Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe (III)”
Whom:
The summer school is open to everyone, but is specifically aimed at Research Master students and
PhD students in history, architectural history, art history, archaeology and related disciplines.
Location: Utrecht (The Netherlands), with field trips to various castles and residences in The Netherlands.
When: 30 June – 9 July 2014
Organisation: PALATIUM in cooparation with the Onderzoekschool Kunstgeschiedenis (Dutch Postgraduate School for Art History)
Stay in Utrecht
The Dutch Post Graduate School for Art History (OSK) will make reservations for students from
outside the Netherlands to stay in the Strowis Inn, a nice hostel in the historical centre of Utrecht (group accommodation; no single rooms).
Costs
- Participation in the summer school is free. Those who are accepted will enjoy free lectures and excursions.
- Participants will have to pay their own travel to Utrecht, as well as their own food and beverages.
How to Apply:
Your application must be submitted by e‐mail and should include your full contact details, a letter
of motivation, the topic of the paper you propose to write, and a short curriculum vitae. All
applications must be in English, which will be the working language of the summer school.
