The Platforms on Environment & Climate(BSUEC) and Growth & Employment (GEP) call for applications for MSc Scholarships under the Building Stronger Universities Scholarship Programme
.
Fifteen scholarships are available for selected MSc programmes at Danish
universities during the period 2013-2015. The scholarships are funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danida, in Denmark.
Each scholarship includes a two year full-time Master’s degree programme at a Danish University.
Eligible candidates
The scholarships are available for talented students with a Bachelor degree
from the BSU partner universities of the Environment & Climate and Growth & Employment platforms in Ghana and Tanzania:
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
- Sokoine University of Agriculture
- University of Dar es Salaam
- University of Ghana
There is no pre-allocation of scholarships to the four universities. The stipends will be awarded on a strictly competitive basis and only applicants with excellent grades will be considered.
In addition, applicants should fulfill the specific require ments for the individual MSc programme that is applied for.
Conditions and modalities
The scholarships cover tuition fee, travel costs, accommodation and allowances (DKK 5,600 per month) during the two year study period.
The Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) will take care of issuing study stay permits, visa and travel arrangements.
Arrival in Denmark will be in early August 2013 with an initial introduction programme before study start at 1st September 2013.
It is the intention that the students shall conduct their thesis work in collaboration with their home university, thus strengthening links between universities in north and south. Further, it is expected that the students by studying in Denmark will obtain good knowledge of the Danish society, culture and values and establish lasting relationships with Danish students.
