Algerian-French scholarships program 2018 “PROFAS B+” in Doctorat (PhD) for young Algerians

The PROFAS B+ program is a critical program of cooperation between France and Algeria. It offers scholarships and service to facilitate the mobility of Algerian doctorate (PhD) students towards France.

The PROFAS B+ program offers scholarships, but also services offered by Algeria and France, including through Campus France. These services are designed to support and facilitate the mobility of scholarship recipients in France. Since 2014, PROFAS B+ has allowed about 300 Algerian scholarship holders to join laboratories of excellence in France.

The PROFAS B+ scholarships are designed for non-employed Doctorate students, whether in joint management or joint supervision of thesis, of up to 35 years old on December 31, 2018.

As part of a thesis completion, the PROFAS B+ program offers:

  • to Doctorate students in thesis joint management, support to training and research through 7 to 12 months scholarships over the academic year 2018-2019.
  • to Doctorate student in thesis joint supervision, the payment of 7 to 18 months scholarships distributed over three years of Doctorate in stays of 7 months minimum by academic year.

Departures for the academic year 2018-2019 will start starting on Monday 10 September 2018 for PROFAS B+ scholarship recipients in joint management, and depending on a schedule determined by co-directors of thesis for PROFAS B+ scholarship holders in joint supervision.
