The Nigeria LNG postgraduate scholarship program is an overseas programme aimed at supporting the emergence of indigenous experts especially, but not exclusively, within the oil and gas industry. The Scheme is part of NLNG’s Community Development programme which aims to contribute to long-term socio-economic development in its host communities and Nigeria at large.
The NLNG Scholarship Schemes are part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to support human capital development and encourage high performance while ultimately growing a pool of high potential graduates and professionals with competitive advantage.
Areas of Study:
The scholarship scheme will support 10 students with scholarships to pursue various studies in Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Studies, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law and Medicine at Masters Level with leading universities in the United Kingdom.
Eligibility
The NLNG Post Graduate Scholarship, is for graduates from NLNG host communities, Rivers State and rest of Nigerian residing in Nigeria who graduated with second class upper and above in their first degree. The scholarship is meant to aid them acquire Post Graduate degrees that will turn them into high potential professionals or entrepreneurs and boost their contribution to national development.
70% of the Scholarship places will be awarded to students who hail from NLNG Host Communities and Rivers State. 30% of the Scholarship places will be awarded to students from other parts of Nigeria.
Scholarship Worth: The Scholarship will cover full tuition fees, a monthly stipend towards living expenses and, one return ticket from Nigeria to the United Kingdom.

Only applications submitted through the above email will be considered. Exceptions will only be given to applicants with ‘special needs’.
Selection Process: From the applications received, a short listing exercise will hold to select applicants who will be invited to sit an aptitude test. On the basis of the results of the test, applicants will be invited for interviews from which the final selection will be made.

Important Information
Potential beneficiaries of the programme must possess a 2nd Class Upper degree in a relevant field of study and have completed the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme.
British Council Nigeria is responsible for administering the scholarships and is the main point of contact for the scheme
