Applications are now open for the 2025 Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) Business Incubation Programme.
The Business Incubation Programme at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) 
empowers entrepreneurs with innovative solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation. Are you building a climate-smart business in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, waste management, water solutions, eco-friendly manufacturing, or green technology? 

Duration

  • The incubation programme spans 6 to 9 months, during which entrepreneurs get significant support to refine their ventures and skills.

Requirements

  • Legally registered and operational in Ghana for at least three (3) years.
  • Not fewer than three (3) full-time employees.
  • Minimum annual gross revenue of GHC 500,000 in the last two fiscal years.
  • Must operate in one of the five (5) sectors of GCIC:
    • Climate Smart Agriculture
    • Domestic Waste Management
    • Energy Efficiency
    • Water Management & Purification
    • Solar Power

Businesses outside the 5 sectors but with an interest in greening their operations may also apply.

Women-led businesses and businesses focused on water management & purification, especially those providing solutions to the water pollution menace of galamsey in Ghana, are particularly encouraged to apply.

Application Process:

The application process involves five stages, with qualifying entrepreneurs progressing to the next stage until the final cohort is accepted and inducted. 

(1) Expression of Interest

Assessing alignment between the entrepreneur’s venture and GCIC’s focus areas.

(2) Detailed Application

Entrepreneurs complete a form for evaluating business viability, potential impact, and team.

(3) Forum

An open dialogue with GCIC’s team to establish expectations and align objectives.

(4) Presentation

Entrepreneurs showcase their business readiness in a live presentation to a panel.

(5) Due Diligence

A visit to validate information provided.
