The Union for International CancerControl (UICC’s) Young Leaders Programme 2023/2024 for next generation of cancer leaders.

by OFA

Application Deadline:  25 May, 2023

The Union for International #CancerControl (UICC’s) Young Leaders programme aims to nurture aspiring young cancer control professionals to become successful leaders in cancer control and the wider global health community. The programme runs every other year, starting in October on the occasion of the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit and culminating the following year at the World Cancer Congress.

In each cycle, up to 10 participants are selected to access learning on global cancer control leadership areas, engage in small group work on key priority topics and take active part in UICC’s two flagship international events.

UICC is encouraging mid-career cancer control professionals, who have contributed to progress in cancer control in their country or region and are motivated to expand their influence to drive impact globally, to apply for the 2023-24 cycle of its Young Leaders programme

  • Access to dedicated online classes and virtual meetings to gain insights from experts on global cancer control and leadership themes, as well as share own work with peers and the broader Young Leaders Alumni network.

  • individual needs assessment and mapping of opportunities;
  • connection with relevant members of UICC’s extensive network;
  • opportunities to increase profile through UICC’s programmes, website and social media;
