Application Deadline: September 21st 2018
The ACU Gender Programme offers annual grants to help member universities meet the costs of organising projects promoting gender equity and equality in their institutions. The grants of up to GBP 1,000 are awarded annually on a competitive basis.
How to apply
- Fill in this application form by Friday 21 September
As part of the application, you will need to submit an outline action plan showing how your home institution can address the issue of gender equity/equality on campus.
The project/action plan should support institutional efforts to promote gender equity, for example through the establishment of a sexual harassment response mechanism, the introduction of institutional gender policies and practices, or mainstreaming gender into the academic curriculum, etc. Proposed projects should last for a minimum of 6 months and maximum of 12 months.
For approved cases, the allocated amount is paid in two instalments; the first half (£500) is transferred at the start of the project, and the second half (£500) will be paid after receiving the final report at the end of the project (interim report will be required half way through the project).
You will need to submit the following information with your application:
- An up-to-date copy of your CV
- Action plan
- Support letter from the head of your institution
The closing date for proposals is midnight (GMT) on Friday 21 September 2018.
The successful applicant will be required to submit detailed interim and final reports showing how the grant has enabled them to put their action plan into effect.
