Submission Deadline: June 15, 2016.
After another full year of active development works in Africa, the Young African Leaders Forum (YALF) in partnership with the African Union Commission – Department of HRST, holds its 2016 annual summit at the African Union headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 19 th – 21 st October, 2016.
The summit, which is themed ‘Ennobling Youth’s Vision and Role in the Development of Africa’, will celebrate the unity and cooperation amongst African Youth towards effectuating
sustainable development in every African nation. YALF believes that the youth play a pivotal role in the eventual realization of the African Union Agenda 2063 vision plan, and this is why YALF formally invite all youth leaders to our 2016 summit.
The summit will host youth leaders from all African countries. It will also include the African diaspora and attract representatives from international organizations, civil societies, researchers, policy makers and the Media. It will bring together youth leaders to share ideas and proffer solutions to African development malaise as well as to launch YALF’s yearly continental development projects, which includes Women Empowerment Initiative,
The Infono Investment, West African Young Leaders Summit (WAYLS), Betty Goes to School, African-Hemp industry and Light-Up Africa.
The 2016 annual YALF summit will also provide the platform for the official launching of the
maiden edition of the promising pan-African journal of development, YALJOD. And in lieu of
publication report, YALF intends to honour authors of selected journal papers – published in
YALJOD – during the event at the AU headquarters.
This is why YALF request all interested authors – especially those who submitted earlier – to send or resend their papers with permanent postal addresses to [email protected] and [email protected] not later than June 15, 2016.
