2015 ARM Investment Managers Young Talent Programme (AYTP) for University Students

The ARM Young Talent Programme (AYTP) is designed to provide exemplary university students with the opportunity to develop an early career at ARM through an exposure to meaningful assignments that offer opportunities to gain real-world experience. The programme runs for a minimum of six (6) weeks each year.

The program offers the interns learning opportunity, via practical work experience, prior to entry into the labour market or progression to further one’s career.

The AYTP allows ARM tackle some of the challenges relating to capacity building, by facilitating the creation and provision of possible employment opportunities for interns upon obtaining their University degree and completion of their internship programme with the Firm.

In addition to the technical skills and experience, the AYTP provides interns the opportunity to develop interpersonal skills through networking with other interns, current employees and clients. This is a great chance to get your career started at a leading investment management firm and gain some valuable work experience.

Structure:

The ARM Young Talent Programme is intensive. For 11 months, your learning will focus on the fundamentals, methods and philosophy of our Investment Management business. You will apply yourself to the theoretical and practical aspect of Investment Management. You will have presentations, give daily reports on market updates, go on company visits, and attend training programs, seminars and conferences. This will culminate in participation on either a business project and/or contribution to our Nigeria Strategy Report.

You will have the same access to the full career support systems given to all ARM Employees. As part of our Talent Programme, we offer Leadership Development for exceptionally outstanding candidates with leadership potential identified during the course of the Programme.

At the end of your internship, you will undergo a formal assessment which will be used to assess your suitability for a Full-Time Offer with the Firm. Subsequently, based on your performance, you may qualify for sponsorship of your Post-Graduate studies. The assessment will consist of:

  • A performance Appraisal
  • Analysis of a Case Study/ Business Project
  • Presentation to Senior Management

Application Process:

  1. You must currently be enrolled in a university and with a current minimum CGPA of 3.5 and above
  2. Candidates must at least be in their 2nd year of study
  3. Complete the Application Form online.
