- Scholarships support students earning their first diploma or Bachelor’s degree
- Scholarship award lasts throughout all years of undergraduate education
Ideal Candidate: A student, male or female, from a country in the developing world, who:
- Successfully completed secondary education, with goodto excellent grades
- Is applying to university or is working towards earning their first undergraduate degree
- Will be studying in their country or another country in the developing world
- Plans to live and work in their own country after they graduate
- Has participated in volunteer service prior to applying for this scholarship and is willing to continue to engage in community service while receiving the ETE Scholarship
- Have some funds available for their education, but will not be able to go to school or continue without assistance
Scholarships
award 20- 25 scholarships per year. Our maximum scholarship is $3,000 USD.
Scholarships support:
• Tuition and fees
• Books and materials
• Other costs
Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities:
- Maintain good grades in all university studies
- Be an ambassador for community service and engagement
- Perform, record and document 100 hours of community service activities throughout the year
- Complete the Academic Semester Report & Community Service Report for WMF Scholars
Important Dates
- Deadline: April 1, 2015
- Review process: April—July, 2015
- Announcement of ETE Scholarship recipients: August 1, 2015
- Scholarship installments provided: September and February of every year
The following are required elements for an application to be considered complete:
- Clear personal photo
- Two essays
- 2015 Application form
- Personal essay statement
- Two recommendation letters*
- Official transcript of grades from secondary school
- Official grading key to interpret grades**

This is so interesting.I am a volunteer teacher working with Voluntary services overseas in Papua New guinea but I am a kenyan citizen.I only have a certificate in teaching and I really want to advance to get a degree but I cant afford to pay for the schools fees.I enrolled in Kenya at Marist college to get a degree in Education but I deferred since I could not pay the schools fees.Can I try my lack here?

Can I count on this please?. I am a single mother currently volunteering with a Christian organisation in Mbale Uganda. My highest education level is Senior 4. I really want to do Social Works and Administration course in one of the local private universities in Mbale but not able due to financial constraints. Please help advise and support.
