Are you a Moroccan university student with an innovative idea for a business?

Then the Global Entrepreneurship Summit is the place for you to meet regional innovators and entrepreneurs.

Join the Moroccan Student Innovation Challenge and win free admission to the summit which will take place in Marrakech from November 19-21, 2014.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit  will bring together over 3000 entrepreneurs, together with heads of state, high level government officials, global entrepreneurs, small medium enterprises (SMEs), corporate leaders, and young entrepreneurs. There will also be an “Innovation Village” where entrepreneurs and innovators from Africa and around the world will be able to promote their projects and share new ideas on myriad topics including ICT, water management, and alternative energy.

The Moroccan Student Innovation Challenge seeks to motivate Moroccan student innovations and ideas and encourage entrepreneurial thinking among university-level students in Morocco, and provide exposure to regional innovators and entrepreneurs at GES 2014.

Students will submit outlines and descriptions of innovative ideas that are in the beginning stages of development. About 200 selected students will win free admission to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Marrakech from November 19-21, 2014, where they will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, listen to world-class speakers on entrepreneurship and innovation, and network with investors and fellow entrepreneurs.

Student projects will also be featured in a display area of the Innovation Village.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be enrolled full time in a Moroccan university.

•You have an idea that is innovative and feasible
• Your Idea falls within any of the following categories:

– Media
– Mobile Technology
– Financial Service
– Consumer Products
– Health
– Agriculture
– Food
– Education
– Transportation
– Manufacturing
– Other

Selection Criteria:

  • Originality
  • Clarity of innovation/idea
  • Feasibility
  • Special consideration will be made for innovations that make advancements in the inclusion of youth and women into the economy
  • Special considering for innovations that are cost-effective and beneficial to individuals living below the poverty line.
